Bookings can be made by phone on 1300 834 346 or 0411 140 249. We will confirm details with you and invoice you to confirm booking.
Quotations are valid at the time of issue. The equipment quoted is held for you for a period of 3 days unless otherwise arranged. After 3 days it will be available to be booked by other customers. A booking is only confirmed once a deposit has been paid.
Payment can be made by cheque, cash, direct deposit or credit card (1.95% surcharge). A 50% deposit must be made to secure the booking. Full payment must be made to our bank account at least 72 hours prior to the event. Please allow 1 week for cheque funds to clear unless prior arrangements are made. A strict 30 day account is available to approved customers by prior arrangement
On the accepting the quote/invoice the hirer has accepted the terms and conditions of hire as stated above and below. Having read and understood the terms of conditions as stated on the web site www.gameshire.com.au and additional terms and conditions stated in the hire contract.
Damage or Loss:
a) The Hirer will be charged for any repair or replacement of damaged equipment.
b) The Hire Period will continue until any damaged equipment is replaced or repaired to a hirable condition c) The Hirer is responsible for any loss of equipment and / or equipment ancillaries.
The Hirer’s Responsibility:
a) The Hirer shall at all times use the hired equipment within the hired equipment’s limitations, specifications and capabilities intended by the manufacturer of the equipment
b) If the hired equipment breaks down or fails the Hirer shall return the equipment to Active Games & Entertainment as soon as practicable in consultation with Active Games & Entertainment, without any attempt to repair the equipment
c) If the hired equipment fails or breaks down out of negligence or misuse of the equipment by the Hirer the hire charges will only cease once the Hirer has paid for all repairs or replacement of the equipment
d) The Hirer shall return the equipment in a clean and good order (fair wear and tear excepted), absorbing any expenses in relation to achieving a clean and good order prior to return. Failure to do so may result in additional charges being charged to the Hirer on return.
e) The Hirer shall not use or operate or permit the equipment to be used or operated in a manner or for a purpose for which the equipment was not designed or manufactured.
f) The Hirer shall not use or operate or permit the equipment to be used or operated in a manner which, in the opinion of Active Games & Entertainment, would be likely to endanger the safety or condition of the equipment or any part thereof or the safety of any person or property
g) All accessories, replacements, instruments, tools and other equipment now supplied with or attached to or hereafter acquired to be used with or attached to the equipment, shall be deemed to form part thereof.
Hire Basis for inflatables and sumo wrestling dry hire:
Hire period specified per individual hire contract/invoice. Late returns will incur a fee. If the late return affects other hire bookings, further charges may occur.
On confirmation of a booking we require a 50% deposit. Payment in full is due 7 days prior to the event date.
Booking Cancellations: Cancellations within 6 weeks of the event time that are unable to be rescheduled, will incur the loss of deposit amount (50% of the total invoice). That amount can be used as credit for another booking within 6 months of the cancellation.
Bookings cancelled within 7 days of the event or scheduled delivery time will forfeit the entire invoiced amount. That amount can be used as credit for another booking within 6 months of the cancellation.
Bad Weather: In the event of bad weather and the need to call off or postpone an event, you will need to contact Active Games & Entertainment at least 2 hours prior to the arranged delivery time but no earlier than 24 hours before the event time. If Active Games & Entertainment staff commence travelling too, or arrive on site and the decision is made to cancel/postpone due to poor weather, payment will not be refunded.
In the event of a cancellation due to unfavourable weather, Active Games will endeavour to make the equipment available for another date. If we are unable to accommodate/negotiate another date, the invoice amount will be refunded less a booking fee of $300 which can be used as credit within 6 months.
Insurance, Liability & Responsibility: Active Games & Entertainment are insured for $20 million of public liability. Our insurance and responsibility extends to the limit of this policy only, it does not assume cover, responsibility for or in any way guarantee your event. Hirers should seek their own cover and assume their own responsibility for the event. If staff from Active Games & Entertainment are hired with equipment, they are suitably trained and qualified to supervise the set-up, operational safety and pack-up of the equipment only. It is the hirers responsibility to address all event OH&S matters.

Access Our pricing is based on delivering equipment to venues that have immediate access. If the venue has stairs or difficult access; or we have to pay parking fees, there may be an additional set-up charge. Please advise Active Games & Entertainment of any such issues when booking to avoid issues and further charges on delivery.
Age Limit: Most games are suitable for age 6 and over
Hire Basis for Games Our games are hired on a ’24 hour’ do it yourself basis. 24 hours is an estimation based on games being delivered/collected on the day requested and picked up/returned the following day. If you desire assistance from a representative from Active Games & Entertainment this can be arranged by prior notice for a set fee/hour. Please contact us directly if you require this service.
Hire period for inflatables and sumo wrestling dry hire (unsupervised by Active Games & Entertainment) is specified per individual hire contract/invoice. Late returns will incur a further charge of the minimum charge per item (Every 0 to 3 hours for inflatables or 0 to 5 hours for sumo suits). If the late return affects other hire bookings, further charges may occur.Late returns will automatically be taken out of credit card supplied.
Late Returns on the giant games range are charged out at full hire cost every 24 hours until returned. Please let us know as soon as possible if you have lost the equipment, because the sooner it can be replaced the less it will cost you and us.
Credit Card details are required on all games and sumo wrestling hires as security of payment for loss, damage, and late return. Loss and damage charges will go ahead once Active Games & Entertainment have spoken to you, or have unsuccessfully attempted to, on more than 3 different occasions. Further charges for late returns may automatically be deducted until the equipment is returned, without notice.
Please call if you think you are going to go over the time booked, sometimes it may work out better for everybody if Active Games & Entertainment staff collect the games from you.
Credit card details are required as security against loss and damage to the products hired. These details may also taken to confirm payment for a last minute booking where due to payment is unable to be confirmed. These details are best given over the phone, a pre-authorisation of the amount will be held on the card and only processed if payment has not been made within 7 days. Giving credit card details with no credit availability is fraud. Full payment will be required within 7 days of the hire, after this date the necessary action will be taken to report the fraud and debt collection will commence, which may incur further fees. Cash bonds may be available on some equipment if required or you don’t have a credit card.
For the various throwing games and Tower Blocks it is expected that there will be some wear and tear on the games due to their nature and this will be allowed for. The deposit may be used to cover the cost of inappropriate damage resulting from the hire. This amount will be pre-authorised but not charged to your card unless required. A representative from Active Games & Entertainment will contact you prior to the charge (if any) being made. Sumo Suits are often booked out many times in a day, therefore prompt return is required and penalties will be charged to the credit card provided as security – a new invoice will be issued with any extra charges are incurred.
Cleaning : Hirers returning games that are excessively dirty may be charged a cleaning fee. Please notify us of any problems, breakages or missing parts when your games hire is completed. This includes sumo suits which are returned wet and require drying.
Debtor is liable for interest, collection fees and legal costs in the recovery process
Delivery and Setup: Many locations offer a free delivery within 10km but some conditions apply so please check your suburb area and ask Active Games & Entertainment staff when booking.
Public Holdidays: A surcharge applies for games delivery and game operators on most public holidays, please ask.
Inflatable hire: Your inflatable will be delivered and installed within the hour before your event is due to start. The inflatable will need to be set up on grass (unless advised otherwise) and connected to electricity within 20 metres or 65 feet. The inflatable will be anchored safely and left in a clean condition. You will then be fully instructed to operate the equipment safely.
Pick up of Inflatable: After your allocated time finishes Active Games & Entertainment staff will return, dismantle and leave within about approximately 1 hour.
Supervision: All inflatables need to be supervised at all times by a person over the age of 18 who has received operational instruction by Active Games & Entertainment staff. We supply you with these rules and train you on site in around 10 minutes. You will need to be present on installation. You are only permitted to self-supervise when the inflatable is operated on a residential property or a private function in a secured area.
Safety: Our inflatables are manufactured and designed using the strictest worldwide standards, however accidents can still occur. Children can fall over and bump their head in a typical backyard, so anything is possible with an active child including on inflatables. We have safety guidelines, however the equipment is not totally child proof, as nothing can be. Supervise your children and follow the safety training that we provide to you and all that should make for a great day for you, your family and friends.
The hirer shall use operate and possess the equipment at the hirer’s risk and the business shall not be liable to the hirer (except to the extent that liability cannot, by law, be excluded) for or in respect of any loss or damage whatsoever caused to the hirer or the directors, employees, contractors, subcontractors or agents of the hirer whether by way of personal injury, delay, financial loss or otherwise arising from or incidential to a breakdown or defect in or any accident to the equipment and here shall indemnify the business and its proprietors jointly and severally and keep them indemnified to the full extent permitted by law from and against all actions, proceedings, claims and demands by any person whatsoever whether in respect of damage to property, injury to persons or otherwise arising out of or alleged to arise out of a break down or defect or any accident to or in respect of the equipment or the use or operation thereof.
the hirer hereby indemnifies the business and its proprietors jointly and severally and keeps them indemnified from and against any such action, suit, proceeding or demand instituted or made agaist the business and resulting from or alleged to result from the operation or use of the equipment by or on behalf of the hirer.
Discounts: Active Games & Entertainment values regular customers and provide generous discounts to demonstrate this. We also provide discounts to various interest groups (schools, charities), so please ask when booking. Backyard prices are discounted from our corporate rates.
Further terms and conditions may be added to your individual contract/Invoice and on payment of invoice or commencement of hire (whichever comes first) you have agreed to any additional terms and conditions as stated on your invoice/contract
